Police clean up the Ambon clashes site |
Seith and Negeri Lima villagers, Sub Salahutu, Ambon Island, Maluku Tengah re-engage clash and attack each other on Thursday (31/7) evening. Conflict between rural residents resulted in five people were killed.
Collision occurred in Nanhai which is the border of the neighboring village, around 16.00 WIT. Assault of Nahai because people of Seith do not accept the dead of a Seith citizen, namely Benjamin (30) died as a result of stabbing in Nahai.
Benjamin lost due to bleeding puncture wounds in the head and left buttock. Victims could run into RSUD Haulussy, Kudamati Ambon, but his life is not preserved as a result of severe injuries.

Benjamin deaths spark other people of Seith to make a revenge and finally attacked Nahai, Negeri Lima. Assault that resulted in a more senior Seith, Usman Moni (38) was killed by a machete hit on the neck.
While three people died from Negeri Lima, Selli (60) and Kaimudin Soulisa (40), both died of shot in the head and Suneth Wahid (16) due to bleeding from gunshot wounds in the right groin.
In addition, five people from both villages also reported to suffer injuries when hit by thrown stones, sharp objects and air rifle. That attack resulted in at least 17 houses burned down in Nahai, Negeri Lima.
Kapolres island of Ambon and Lease Islands, AKBP Bintang confirmed the conflict between two people of the neighboring villages.
"But the current situation on the border of the village has been handled and secured by dozens District police personnel from island of Ambon and Lease Islands. The Maluku Elite Regional Police also sent to the scene," he said.
