Joko Widodo want his minister leave political parties

Indonesian President that was elected in 2014, Joko Widodo insisted that he wants anyone who will become his minister that come from political party cadres must abandon their attributes.

"I want a minister who was separated from political parties attributes," said Jokowi after meeting with Jokowi-JK Transition Team in the Office of Transition Team at Situbondo Street, Menteng, Central Jakarta.

This Jakarta Governor was reluctant to mention what the reason. What is clear, he added, until now the plan that each minister must not affiliated with a political party is still being discussed internally. "Yes, but this is still being discussed," said Jokowi.

Jokowi did not close the opportunity of Jokowi-JK transition team members to go into the cabinet. "All possible., But once again, it is not sure there is a transition team members in the cabinet or in Presidential Advisory Council. That was a different matter," said Jokowi.

Jokowi coalition party which has given the name for minister candidate only from the National Awakening Party. National Awakening Party was given its cadres, that is Muhaimin Iskandar, Rusdi Kirana, and Imam Nahrawi as ministerial candidate. However, the National Awakening Party submitting a final decision on Jokowi.

While the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle, the National Democratic Party, the People's Conscience Party and the Party of Union Association of Indonesia not yet given the candidate for Jokowi. Jokowi currently still discussing ministerial candidates. Jokowi plan to announced his ministers in mid-October 2014.

Political analyst from Populi Center, Nico Haryanto, support Joko Widodo plans to choose ministers who are not bound by political parties. Cabinet members from the political parties should be abandon their attributes so it will not make a political affairs.

"If you want good governance in the country, do not mix task for political parties and the government," said Nico in Jakarta.

He said, managing political parties as one of the pillars of democracy were have same great value with managing the country. Therefore, parties should be separated from the affairs of state.
